Faux oil lamp

Last up in today’s episode of “things pretending to be things they’re not”, here’s an oil lamp that won’t explode too much when you toss it into a wall.  (That’s what the gas lines behind the stage are for.)  Hopefully not break all too much either, although well, toss anything enough times and you’d better have reserves.  Such as this one, in fact.

Idk man, it’s like they don’t even want their productions to end in fiery tradegy these days.

Rubber, plexi glass, gold leaf, electronics, holder from an authentic oil lamp, some brass and solder.  For a re-interpretation of that charmingly patriarchal Strindberg play Fadren (The Father) at the Stockholm City Theatre.
